Kevin Byrne and Sue Serino Named to Hudson Valley Power 100 for Leadership in New York State

Kevin Byrne and Sue Serino have been named in City & State’s 2024 Hudson Valley Power 100 for their leadership as county executives in New York State.

Before becoming Putnam County Executive in 2022, Byrne served in the New York State Assembly, championing public safety and government efficiency. He recently reflected in a post on LinkedIn, “I always wanted to make City & State’s 40 Under 40 List but never quite made the cut. Still there’s something special about being recognized in this list as New York’s youngest county executive.” Byrne’s swift actions, including merging county functions and enhancing public safety underscore his transformative leadership.

Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino, formerly a state senator and chair of the Senate Aging Committee, continues to prioritize issues like senior care, housing affordability, and shared services in her role. Serino’s legislative experience and dedication to pragmatic policies have positioned her as an influential leader in the Hudson Valley of New York.

Their recognition highlights the power of their legislative backgrounds, enabling them to be effective leaders within New York politics.
