New Rasmussen Poll: 46% Believe Trump Can Broker Russia-Ukraine Peace Deal

Following President Donald Trump’s high-stakes summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, a new Rasmussen Reports survey reveals a divided public on the prospects for peace in Ukraine. Just 46% of likely voters believe it’s at least somewhat likely that Trump will successfully negotiate an end to the war—down from 50% in May. Republican voters are far more optimistic, with 74% expressing confidence in Trump’s ability to broker a deal, compared to just 30% of Democrats and 33% of independents. Views on Trump’s handling of the conflict remain polarized, with 39% rating his performance as good or excellent, while 41% say he’s doing a poor job. The summit may have made headlines, but voter confidence in a breakthrough remains uncertain.
