A Festival Built on Kindness—Now Growing Even Bigger

A New Home, Same Powerful Mission
The 2026 Family Kindness Festival, hosted by Senders Pediatrics Health Initiative, will take place April 26 at Landerhaven in the Cleveland area. Previously held at Beachwood High School, the move allows the event to grow and welcome even more attendees.
Last year, the festival drew approximately 2,500 people—families spanning generations who came together to celebrate the power of kindness.
A Day Designed to Inspire
Described as an “inspiring afternoon celebrating compassion, community and connection,” the festival invites families from across Northeast Ohio to experience hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and meaningful opportunities to give back.
Dr. Shelly Senders, founder and CEO of Senders Pediatrics, emphasized the purpose behind the event: reminding both children and adults that kindness is not just a value—it’s a powerful force for change.
Activities That Make a Difference
The festival blends fun with purpose. Attendees can participate in hands-on service projects, meet youth activists and entrepreneurs focused on giving back, and connect with nonprofit organizations working to strengthen communities.
Additional highlights include a mobile blood drive, a Wigs for Kids cut-a-thon, and interactive family experiences ranging from crafts and martial arts to music, games, and entertainment.
There’s also plenty of fun for all ages, including face painting, a video game arcade, and classic treats like ice cream and cotton candy.
Building a Culture of Compassion
More than just a one-day event, the Family Kindness Festival reflects a broader mission: fostering empathy, generosity, and resilience in the next generation.
By creating a space where families can learn, connect, and give back together, organizers hope the impact will extend far beyond the festival itself.
Why It Matters
For a national audience, this event is part of a growing movement—one that recognizes kindness as a cornerstone of healthy communities.
