Cracker Barrel Halts Restaurant Makeovers After Logo Uproar
Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel is hitting pause on its restaurant remodel plans after customer backlash over its updated look and simplified logo. The company had begun testing modern redesigns — featuring brighter lighting, less antique décor, and a streamlined aesthetic — in just four of its 660 locations, but longtime patrons pushed back, saying the changes strayed too far from the cozy, country charm they love. Under new CEO Julie Felss Masino, Cracker Barrel had hoped to boost relevance with the refresh, but following the public outcry, the chain says it will refocus on maintaining its classic atmosphere while still ensuring stores are in good shape.
