“Recording this song with Georgette and Heidi was one of those moments that reminded me why I fell in love with country music in the first place,” she said. “We didn’t just record a song — we paid respect to the women who paved the way before us.”

Originally from a small town in western North Carolina, Newton grew up immersed in the sounds of classic country.
