Gas Prices Dip—But Will Rising Oil Prices Spoil Your Summer Road Trip?

Gas prices across the U.S. have seen a slight dip ahead of the summer driving season, with the national average dropping 3.8 cents to $3.09 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s latest report. However, this relief could be short-lived as oil prices are on the rise once again, driven by geopolitical tensions and OPEC+ production decisions. While states like Mississippi and Texas enjoy some of the lowest prices at $2.64 and $2.70, California and Hawaii are experiencing the highest at $4.77 and $4.47 per gallon. Analysts warn that if oil prices continue their upward trajectory, gasoline prices may soon follow suit, particularly as demand peaks in the summer months.
