Fired CBS Reporter Catherine Herridge Exposes Seized Hunter Biden, COVID Files: ‘Attack on Journalism’

Fired CBS News investigative reporter Catherine Herridge has released photos of files seized by the network, which she claims contained sensitive reporting on Hunter Biden and COVID-19 origins. Herridge, who was dismissed in February 2024 amid corporate layoffs, described the seizure of her materials—four large moving boxes weighing over 100 pounds—as an “attack on investigative journalism.” The files were returned weeks later following union pressure, but the incident sparked a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing on press freedom. Herridge, who previously reported on Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 election, accused CBS News of suppressing key stories. The network has declined to comment.
