Peaches the Bulldog Steals Dennis Quaid’s Interview

Hollywood star Dennis Quaid may have stopped by morning television to talk about his latest film, but it was his four-legged companion who ended up stealing the spotlight.
During a March 6 appearance on Today, Quaid’s English bulldog Peaches had the show’s hosts laughing with her relaxed, unimpressed expressions as she lounged on the studio couch.
The adorable pup quickly became the unexpected star of the segment.
A Scene-Stealing Sidekick
As Quaid sat down for the interview, Peaches appeared perfectly comfortable doing her own thing.
The bulldog sat at the far end of the couch, staring off into the distance rather than engaging with the conversation happening around her.
Noticing the pup’s aloof attitude, longtime TODAY weather anchor Al Roker jokingly asked, “Did we do something to offend, Peaches?”
Quaid laughed and played along, joking with his canine companion as the hosts continued reacting to her hilarious facial expressions.
Anchors Can’t Stop Laughing
Peaches’ unbothered demeanor quickly had the studio cracking up.
Hosts including Craig Melvin and Savannah Sellers laughed as the bulldog remained perfectly relaxed, seemingly uninterested in the cameras or conversation.
“Clearly Peaches is upset about something,” Melvin joked as the anchors watched the dog calmly sit through the interview.
At one point, Roker bent over laughing after Peaches finally turned her head toward the group.
Peaches the Professional
Despite all the laughter around her, Peaches remained unfazed throughout the segment.
While Quaid discussed his latest project, the action film War Machine, his bulldog companion continued to lounge comfortably beside him.
Quaid joked that both he and Peaches watch the TODAY show every morning.
Roker quickly responded with a playful quip, saying he wasn’t convinced Peaches was paying that much attention.
Still, the pup held her composure throughout the interview — only briefly glancing toward Quaid when he asked, “Peachy, you glad to be here?”
A Social Media Star
Peaches’ calm confidence on television isn’t entirely new.
The bulldog has appeared alongside Quaid before, including a 2025 visit to the TODAY show when the actor was promoting his true-crime series Happy Face.
Quaid has also shared glimpses of Peaches’ life on social media.
In a recent Instagram video posted the day before the interview, the bulldog was seen navigating an airport travel day — strolling along a moving walkway, riding an escalator, and eventually hopping into a car before settling in after her busy adventure.
A Dog With Star Power
While Quaid arrived to promote his newest movie, Peaches proved that sometimes the most memorable moments on live television come from the unexpected.
With her calm confidence, adorable expressions and perfectly timed side-eye, the bulldog left TODAY’s hosts — and viewers — smiling.
