Spreading Easter Joy One Basket at a Time

Sometimes, the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference — especially for families who need it most.

In Reno, Nevada, one community effort is doing just that this Easter season.

A Simple Mission, A Big Impact

Cookies for Kindness is once again stepping up to bring joy to local families by giving away free Easter baskets — no strings attached.

Founded by Thomas Hill, the organization has built its mission around one core idea: meet people where they are and make kindness accessible.

This year, the effort is made even simpler.

No sign-ups.
No forms.
No barriers.

Just show up.

How It Works

Families can stop by The Bridge Church in Reno on March 27 and 28, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., to receive a beautifully assembled Easter basket — while supplies last.

The baskets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring that anyone in need has the opportunity to take part.

It’s a straightforward approach designed to remove the friction that can sometimes prevent people from asking for help.

A Community Effort

This initiative isn’t happening alone.

Cookies for Kindness has partnered with The Bridge Church, Reno Arch Lions Club, and the KT Grace Foundation — bringing together multiple groups with one shared goal: helping others.

Together, they’ve created something that goes beyond baskets.

They’ve created a moment of relief, joy, and dignity for families navigating difficult times.

More Than a Basket

For many children, an Easter basket is a symbol of celebration — something they look forward to each year.

For some families, however, it can feel out of reach.

That’s where efforts like this matter most.

Because sometimes, kindness looks like candy, toys, and a basket — but what it really delivers is something deeper: a reminder that someone cares.

Kindness Without Conditions

In a world that often feels complicated, this initiative stands out for its simplicity.

No paperwork.
No qualifications.
Just kindness.

And sometimes, that’s exactly what a community needs.
