While eating patterns rich in fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, legumes, and healthy fats—like the Mediterranean diet—are shown to reduce harmful chronic inflammation, restrictive “avoid lists” pushed online can leave people missing key nutrients. Researchers say the best approach is balance: focus on whole, minimally processed foods, pair them with exercise and quality sleep, and skip the unnecessary bans.
