AI Is Now Breaking Hearts: 41% of Singles Let ChatGPT End Their Relationships

Artificial intelligence is now playing matchmaker, breakup coach, and even therapist in the dating world. A new study by Wingmate found that 41% of singles are leaning on AI to end relationships, while more than half prefer its dating advice over input from friends and family. Younger adults are especially likely to turn to AI for breakups, conversation starters, and even conflict resolution. Experts warn, however, that while AI may provide quick, judgment-free responses, it lacks emotional intelligence—and could miss key red flags in relationships.
