Ray Stevens Hospitalized After Heart Attack, Cancels July Shows

Country music icon Ray Stevens is on the mend following a mild heart attack late last week. The 85-year-old entertainer was hospitalized on Friday evening after experiencing chest pain and underwent a heart catheterization that confirmed the heart attack. On Monday morning, Stevens underwent minimally invasive surgery, which doctors say was successful.
Stevens is now recovering and in good spirits, according to his team. However, all scheduled performances at his West Nashville CabaRay Showroom are canceled through the end of July to allow him time to rest and heal.
