VisionCorps Foundation Goes Over the Edge for Independence

A Downtown Fundraiser Designed to Turn Heads

Downtown Lancaster will have a hard time missing this fundraiser.

On Friday, June 5, 2026, VisionCorps Foundation will host VisionCorps Eye Drop 2026, a high-energy community event where participants will rappel 110 feet down the side of the Holiday Inn Lancaster after raising money to support the organization’s mission.

The event will take place at 26 East Chestnut Street, with rappelling scheduled between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Throughout the day, participants will step over the edge of the downtown building and descend in front of crowds gathered below.

It is part fundraiser, part community gathering and part public awareness campaign — all built around one unforgettable visual.

Going Over the Edge for Independence

VisionCorps Foundation’s mission is to empower individuals who are blind or vision impaired to attain independence.

That mission is at the center of the Eye Drop event. Participants do not simply show up to rappel. They earn their spot by raising funds, turning their descent into a visible show of support for people in the community who rely on VisionCorps Foundation’s work.

The result is a fundraiser with a little more adrenaline than the average charity event. Instead of a ballroom, banquet hall or silent auction, VisionCorps Foundation is putting its mission on display in the middle of Lancaster.

Each participant who takes the rope is helping draw attention to the organization’s work, while also giving the community a reason to stop, look up and learn more.

A 110-Foot Statement of Support

Rappelling down a downtown building is not something most people do every day. That is exactly what makes VisionCorps Eye Drop 2026 stand out.

The event is designed to be highly visual, with participants descending the side of Holiday Inn Lancaster as family members, friends, donors and community supporters cheer them on from below.

The day is expected to include branded event signage, sponsor presence and a family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of downtown Lancaster. It also offers strong opportunities for live media coverage and photography, from participants in gear to crowds watching the action unfold.

For VisionCorps Foundation, the spectacle serves a serious purpose. The event brings visibility to the organization’s mission while giving supporters a memorable way to take part.

A Community Cause With a Public Stage

Many fundraisers happen quietly. This one is meant to be seen.

By holding the event at a downtown building and inviting participants to rappel 110 feet, VisionCorps Foundation is creating a public moment around a mission that directly affects individuals who are blind or vision impaired.

The event gives supporters a way to do more than donate. They can raise money, participate, cheer, sponsor or simply help spread awareness. It also gives the Lancaster community a chance to see philanthropy in action in a way that is exciting, accessible and hard to ignore.

At its core, VisionCorps Eye Drop 2026 is about more than the rappel. It is about showing support for independence, dignity and opportunity for people living with vision loss.

Lancaster Looks Up

On June 5, the side of the Holiday Inn Lancaster will become more than a building. It will become the backdrop for a community rallying around VisionCorps Foundation and the people it serves.

The event may be thrilling for those brave enough to go over the edge, but its purpose remains grounded in service.

For participants, supporters, and spectators, VisionCorps Eye Drop 2026 offers a chance to look up, cheer loudly, and support a mission that helps individuals who are blind or vision impaired move toward greater independence.
