More Stars Added to Gatlin Brothers’ Ryman Tribute

Additional artists have been announced for the Gatlin Brothers’ 70th Anniversary Tribute, set for Monday, February 23, at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The newly expanded lineup brings together an extraordinary group of performers to celebrate Larry, Steve, and Rudy Gatlin’s seven decades of music-making together—an achievement that dates back to their beginnings in 1955.
Newly Announced Performers Join the Celebration
Newly confirmed artists for the milestone evening include the Gaither Vocal Band, The Frontmen—featuring Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, Tim Rushlow formerly of Little Texas, and Richie McDonald formerly of Lonestar—along with Billy Dean, Dailey & Vincent, Deborah Allen, Carlene Carter, Riders in the Sky, Jason Crabb, and Jamie O’Neal. The evening will also include a special appearance by Country Music Hall of Fame member Ray Stevens.
These artists join an already impressive roster of performers assembled to honor the Gatlin Brothers’ enduring legacy and influence across country and gospel music.
A Star-Studded Lineup Honoring 70 Years of Music
Previously announced performers include The Oak Ridge Boys, Big & Rich, Mae Estes, Lee Greenwood, T. Graham Brown, David Phelps, John Berry, Lorrie Morgan, The Isaacs, Mark Wills, Red Steagall, T.G. Sheppard, and Kelly Lang. Together, the lineup spans generations and styles, reflecting the broad reach of the Gatlin Brothers’ music and the respect they command among fellow artists.
The evening will feature performances of many of the trio’s most celebrated songs, including “All the Gold in California,” “Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer to You),” and “Broken Lady.” Sixwire will serve as the backing band for the event, with additional special appearances by Gary Sinise and Nancy Jones.
A Rare Milestone in Country Music History
The Gatlin Brothers’ 70 years together mark one of the longest-running original lineups in country music history. Their journey, which began in 1955, has produced a catalog of hits, industry accolades, and a signature harmony-driven sound that has stood the test of time.
The trio earned a GRAMMY® Award for their 1976 breakthrough hit “Broken Lady” and went on to secure multiple No. 1 songs. Their achievements include five career nominations for ACM Vocal Group and three major 1979 honors: Single of the Year for “All the Gold in California,” Album of the Year for Straight Ahead, and Male Vocalist of the Year for Larry Gatlin. They have also received multiple CMA nominations, including Vocal Group of the Year, Single of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year.
A Songwriting Legacy That Spans Genres
Beyond their success as performers, Larry Gatlin’s songwriting legacy has reached far beyond the trio. His songs have been recorded by Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Dottie West, Roy Orbison, Barry Gibb, and countless gospel artists, including the Gaither Vocal Band, the Booth Brothers, and The Isaacs. In recognition of his contributions, Larry Gatlin was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in the fall of 2019.
Gratitude and Faith at the Heart of the Celebration
Larry Gatlin reflected on the significance of the moment and the support surrounding the event.
“Brother Steve, Brother Rudy, and I are grateful to God for the 70 years we have had making music together,” he said. “We’re thankful for the friends and performers who are helping us celebrate this milestone, and for the fans who have supported us every step of the way. Keep the faith.”
