Honoring America’s Heroes: Country Legends Unite for RFD-TV’s ‘Veterans Day Country Concert’

A Star-Studded Salute to Service

America’s 250th anniversary celebration continues in the heart of Music City as RFD-TV prepares to debut its all-new Veterans Day Country Concert. Premiering Saturday, November 8 at 7 PM (ET), with an encore at 10 PM (ET), this special television event brings together some of country music’s most iconic voices to honor America’s veterans and military families.

Live from Nashville, the lineup reads like a hall-of-fame roster: Lee Greenwood, The Bellamy Brothers, Larry, Steve & Rudy: The Gatlin Brothers, Exile, Johnny Lee, Eddy Raven, Marty Raybon of Shenandoah, Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, T. Graham Brown, Tim Rushlow (formerly of Little Texas), and Lisa Matassa will deliver classic hits, heartfelt tributes, and unforgettable collaborations.

Country Legends Standing with Veterans

Few genres have stood by America’s service members like country music—and this celebration promises to echo that deep connection.

“Country music has always stood shoulder-to-shoulder with America’s veterans,” said Lee Greenwood. “It’s an honor to stand on this stage with dear friends and sing for the men and women who’ve worn the uniform.”

From legendary performers to rising voices in patriot-themed music, the concert creates a moment of gratitude and reflection as the nation prepares for its 250th birthday.

A Journey Through America’s Story

This musical tribute is part of the nation’s multi-year America250 observance, leading up to the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026. Between performances, viewers will travel through history to the places where America’s story took shape.

The special traces our nation’s earliest chapters—from Plymouth Rock and Faneuil Hall in Massachusetts to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello in Virginia and Valley Forge in Pennsylvania, where resolve and unity helped secure our freedom.

The program then moves to Fort Sumter in South Carolina, a reminder of the painful cost of division and the triumph of unity, before highlighting American innovation at the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina—where two brothers changed history by daring to dream.

The journey concludes in Washington, D.C., with a stop at Ford’s Theatre, underscoring the fragility of leadership and the enduring legacy of preserving the Union.

A Tribute Rooted in Community and Country

“This concert is a thank-you to all who have served,” said Jeremiah Davis, RFD-TV VP of Programming. “These artists and their songs are woven into the fabric of American life.”

The program reflects what binds us together—service, sacrifice, ingenuity, and the shared values that define the American spirit.
