COPS Teams With The Wounded Blue to Bring Free Support to Injured Officers

The Wounded Blue is bringing law enforcement wellness and resilience to the forefront this fall with the 5th Annual National Law Enforcement Survival Summit, taking place September 22–25, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The four-day event is designed to provide officers with critical training in emotional, financial, physical, and career survival—tools that are essential for thriving in today’s demanding policing environment.
In a powerful gesture of solidarity, Morgan Langley, executive producer of the iconic television series COPS, along with an anonymous donor, are covering costs so that any officer injured in the line of duty or living with PTSD/PTSI—and their spouse—can attend the Summit at no charge. By removing financial barriers, this partnership ensures that the officers who need these resources most will have full access to them.
“For more than three decades we have been working with police officers across this nation and have seen the effects of both physical and emotional injuries,” said Langley. “We couldn’t be more proud than to team with The Wounded Blue to help heal those who have sacrificed so much.”
The Summit will be hosted by Lt. Randy Sutton (Ret.), Founder of The Wounded Blue, who will deliver the opening address. Sutton emphasized the importance of the event’s mission: “At The Wounded Blue, we live by the creed ‘Never Forgotten, Never Alone.’ This Survival Summit is about emotional survival and law enforcement resilience. Now more than ever, our brothers and sisters in blue need to know they are not alone in their struggles.”
Over the course of the conference, attendees will hear from some of the nation’s most respected law enforcement instructors, authors, and wellness experts. Keynote speakers include Captain Tom Rizzo with his renowned IVORY TOWER seminar, Sgt. John Kelly (Ret.), host of the Sometimes Heroes Need Help podcast, Dr. Trevor Wilkins—better known as the Angry Viking Therapist™, Sgt. John Mattingly, author of 12 Seconds in the Dark, Doug White, author of Hiding In Plain Sight, and FinancialCop’s Nick Daugherty. Nicole and Marc Junkerman will also join the lineup, along with many others.
Beyond keynote sessions, the Summit will offer more than a dozen expert-led workshops covering everything from trauma recovery and family wellness to building financial strength. Officers can also engage in peer-support sessions, including the popular “Campfire Conversations,” a confidential and supportive setting where officers share personal stories of resilience and hope.
The agenda also highlights forward-looking discussions like “Positive Impacts in Policing,” which explores ways to bring constructive change to departments, and “Duty Driven Deterioration,” a session that addresses the mental and physical toll of policing and strategies to counter it.
The 2025 Summit will be held at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, with special lodging rates available for attendees. Registration includes full access to all training and keynote sessions, plus daily breakfast and lunch. Active and retired officers, spouses, peer supporters, and law enforcement leaders are all invited to attend.
Registration is now open at thewoundedblue.org/summit. The Wounded Blue is urging agencies, officers, and supporters to spread the word and join the mission of changing the culture around mental health in policing.
