Zelenskyy Heads to Washington After Trump, Putin Summit Yields No Ceasefire

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with President Donald Trump in Washington on Monday, just days after Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin wrapped up a summit in Alaska that failed to secure a halt to the fighting. European leaders, who spoke with Trump and Zelenskyy following the summit, welcomed U.S. efforts to push for peace but did not weigh in on whether a lasting deal should replace an immediate ceasefire.
