Vance Holds Majority Favorability, Seen as Qualified for Presidency

Vice President J.D. Vance continues to hold majority support among voters, with 51% viewing him favorably, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey. While his rating dipped slightly from June, a third of voters say they have a “Very Favorable” impression. Importantly, 51% also believe Vance is qualified to assume the duties of the presidency if necessary—a sharp contrast to December 2021, when only 40% considered then–Vice President Kamala Harris qualified. Support for Vance remains strong among Republicans, younger voters, and Hispanics, while Democrats and older voters express the highest levels of disapproval.
