Trump Signs Executive Order to Reinstate Service Members Dismissed Over COVID Vaccine Refusal

Former President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to reinstate military service members discharged due to their refusal to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The order directs the Secretary of Defense to reinstate active and reserve troops who were dismissed between 2021 and 2023, offering them their previous rank, full back pay, and benefits. This comes after the vaccine mandate was repealed in 2023. The move fulfills a campaign promise and addresses the over 8,000 service members affected by the policy.
