Steak takes the crown. Texas Roadhouse has officially overtaken Olive Garden as America’s top casual dining chain, racking up $5.5 billion in sales last year. The steakhouse’s 14.7% sales surge put it ahead of Olive Garden’s $5.2 billion, ending the Italian chain’s six-year reign at No. 1, according to new data from Technomic.
