For Karin Chrostek, a long shift at a local hospital turned into a challenging journey home when her car became stuck miles away from her destination.

A father and son stopped to dig her car out of the snow, working alongside her in freezing conditions. Soon after, another stranger offered her a place to stay for the night — a gesture she gratefully accepted.
