State Rep. Jeremy Wooldridge, R-Marmaduke, has officially launched his 2026 campaign for state Senate, setting up a Republican primary challenge against Senate Majority Leader Blake Johnson. In his announcement, Wooldridge emphasized his commitment to putting northeast Arkansas first and said he’s running to give the region a stronger voice in Little Rock. Wooldridge’s entry into the race signals a competitive GOP primary in Senate District 21, which includes Clay, Greene, Randolph, and part of Lawrence counties. The filing period opens in November, with the primary set for March 3, 2026.
