When did grabbing a burger and a beer become a political statement? The self-importance of some restaurant employees is not just baffling—it’s bad business. Most hamburgers couldn’t care less if they’re enjoyed by a Trump official or the head of the DNC. Let’s remind the “bring people together” crowd that unity includes sharing meals and holidays with family and friends, no matter their political views. Public spaces, especially restaurants, should be for everyone. Period.
