For decades, fans have known William Lee Golden for his unmistakable voice, flowing beard, and enduring presence with the The Oak Ridge Boys. Now, the Country and Gospel Music Hall of Fame member, Grand Ole Opry performer, and Oak Ridge Boy is sharing a different side of his artistry.
Today marks the release of Golden Memories, a new picture book featuring Golden’s personal photography — images he has captured across the United States and around the world since he first began shooting digital photography in 2008.
A Life on the Road, Captured Through a Lens
Golden has spent much of his life traveling — both with The Oak Ridge Boys and on his own. Along the way, he began documenting the journey, preserving moments not just through song, but through snapshots of the landscapes and cities that shaped his experiences.
Golden Memories includes scenic images from coast to coast, including Red Rock Canyon, the Grand Canyon, and sunsets along Old Hickory Lake just outside Nashville. The collection also stretches beyond American borders, featuring stops in London, Paris, and other international destinations.
“I’ve been blessed to travel all across the country both with The Oak Ridge Boys and on my own,” Golden shares. “Along the way, I began taking photos on each journey as a way to remember the places I’ve been and the roads that led me there. I’m grateful to Scot England for helping me be able to share these moments with you, and I thank you for being part of my journey.”
The result is more than a coffee table book — it’s a visual scrapbook of a life lived fully on the road.

A Season of Creativity for The Goldens
The release of Golden Memories comes during an active season for William Lee Golden & The Goldens. The group recently premiered their music video for “Old Country Church” digitally via GodTube. Produced by Jeff Panzer, the video honors legacy and faith, celebrating the timeless songs that have shaped the Golden family’s musical journey across generations.
The group has also released several additional videos, including “Southern Accents,” “Stand By Me,” “If I Could Only Hear My Mother Pray Again,” “Bobbie Sue,” “The Long And Winding Road,” “I Saw The Light,” “Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On,” and “Elvira.”
Alongside the visual releases, William Lee Golden & The Goldens have recorded three album collections: Country Roads, Southern Accents, and Old Country Church. Together, they span gospel classics, country standards, and iconic favorites that reflect Golden’s musical roots and lifelong influences.
A Legacy of Family and Harmony
Few things are more powerful than family harmony — a theme that defines William Lee Golden & The Goldens. The Brewton, Alabama native joined forces with his sons to create three distinctive albums that reflect both heritage and heart.
While celebrating this new chapter, the Golden family continues to honor the memory of Rusty Golden, who passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 65 at his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
With Golden Memories, William Lee Golden offers fans something deeply personal: not just the soundtrack of a life well lived, but the scenery along the way.
