When food companies removed fat from products, they didn’t leave them clean and healthy. They replaced fat with sugar, artificial sweeteners, and chemicals to make the food taste good. Low-fat yogurts, protein bars, and “healthy” snacks often spike your blood sugar higher than a donut.

When you eat sugar and highly processed foods, your insulin goes up. When insulin stays high, your body stays in fat-storage mode. You feel hungrier, crave more sugar, and your ability to feel full shuts down. That’s why you can eat a “diet” snack and still be looking for more 20 minutes later.

The Liver, Inflammation, and Emotional Eating Connection

These foods also overload your liver, which is responsible for detoxifying your body and helping regulate fat metabolism. When your liver is stressed from sugar and chemicals, your body becomes more inflamed, your gut health suffers, and even your brain chemistry is affected. That means more fatigue, more anxiety, and more emotional eating.

So if you’ve ever thought, “Why do I have no willpower?”—it’s not you. It’s your biology being hijacked.

What Real, Lasting Fat Loss Actually Requires

Real, lasting fat loss happens when we stop dieting and start eating in a way that supports our hormones.

That means:
