Country Duo Debuts Tender Tennessee Christmas

Country music icon T.G. Sheppard and acclaimed singer-songwriter Kelly Lang are welcoming the holidays in harmony with the release of their brand-new album, Tender Tennessee Christmas, out today. The project blends timeless holiday classics with deeply personal originals, offering a warm, nostalgic soundtrack for the season.
The title track’s music video—sponsored by Gus Arrendale and Springer Mountain Farms—made its digital debut on GodTube and is set for its television premiere on the American Country Network on November 28th at 6:00 AM ET, with additional airings throughout the holidays. The duo will also perform the beloved song on The Dailey & Vincent Show Christmas Special on November 29th at 8:30 PM ET on RFD-TV, with an encore on December 13th.
Honoring a Classic in a Historic Setting
For Sheppard and Lang, choosing the album’s title track was an emotional decision rooted in admiration.
“‘Tender Tennessee Christmas’ just happens to be one of our all-time favorite Christmas songs,” Sheppard said. “The lyrics brought us comfort, so we decided to include it. What a thrill it was to film the video at The Johnny Cash cabin recording studio. You could feel the history within the walls.”
Written by Amy Grant and Gary Chapman, the track sets the tone for an album rich in storytelling, sentiment, and the familiar glow that only Christmas music can bring.
A Blend of Classics and Originals
The 10-song collection marries holiday favorites with fresh, heartfelt originals. Fans will find renditions of “Mary Did You Know,” “Hard Candy Christmas,” “Christmas Without You,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and a standout version of “White Christmas” featuring none other than The Oak Ridge Boys.
New songs like “Christmas in Mexico” and “My First Christmas Without You” add emotional layers—some festive, some tender, all delivered with Sheppard and Lang’s signature harmony and warmth.
“T.G. and I have always loved Christmas,” Lang shared. “It is my favorite time of year with all of the decorations, classic movies, and timeless music. We’ve been talking about doing this album for years and are so excited to share it with you. Merry Christmas, everyone!”
A Dynamic Duo With a Long Musical Legacy
The album follows the recent success of their duets collection, Chemistry: The Duets Collection, which showcased their collaborative magic through beloved classics including “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” and “More Today Than Yesterday.”
Together and individually, Sheppard and Lang have decades of accolades behind them.
Sheppard—known for 22 #1 hits like “I Loved ’Em Every One” and “Do You Wanna Go to Heaven”—has been a powerhouse in country music for over 50 years. From hosting The T.G. Sheppard Show to lending his iconic voice to the Folgers jingle, his influence remains unmistakable.
Lang’s career is equally expansive. A celebrated songwriter, she has penned hits for some of country music’s greatest stars and has recorded duets with icons like Barry Gibb and Olivia Newton-John. A member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, Lang continues to share her story of resilience as a 20-year breast cancer survivor, inspiring audiences with both her music and her art.
A Holiday Album With Heart
With its mix of cherished classics, touching originals, and the unmistakable chemistry between Sheppard and Lang, Tender Tennessee Christmas offers listeners a warm, nostalgic escape just in time for the holidays. Whether you’re seeking a soulful ballad, a cozy duet, or a memory-making family soundtrack, the album delivers a little magic for everyone.
