Songwriters Come Together to Give Kids a Christmas to Remember

Christmas and country music have always made a great pair — heart, community, and a whole lot of joy. This year, Christmas 4 Kids is turning that spirit up another notch with its inaugural “Songwriter Night 4 the Kids”, a special benefit event designed to bring Nashville’s legendary storytelling tradition to life while raising funds for local children in need.

On Tuesday, November 25, at 7:00 p.m., the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville will welcome guests for an intimate evening filled with music, stories, and generosity. Located at 550 Johnny Cash Boulevard, the setting couldn’t be more fitting — a hometown gathering in the heart of country music country.

A Star-Powered Songwriter Circle

The night’s lineup features some of Nashville’s most respected and beloved songwriters:

  • Chuck Cannon
  • Phil Vassar
  • Josh Mirenda
  • Jeffrey Steele

These acclaimed artists — who have penned some of country’s biggest hits — will take the stage to share the songs and stories that shaped their careers. Adding to the night’s charm, well-known country media personality Shawn Parr will serve as the guest MC and auctioneer, guiding guests through both music and the live auction.

The show promises the warmth and authenticity of Nashville’s legendary songwriter rounds, offering fans a rare up-close experience with the creative talents behind the music they love.

Tickets and Purpose: Giving Kids a Christmas to Remember

General admission tickets are available for $75, while VIP tables for eight are priced at $1,000. Every ticket sold goes directly toward fulfilling the mission of Christmas 4 Kids: giving underprivileged children across Middle Tennessee a Christmas they will never forget.

“Christmas 4 Kids is excited about our first Songwriter Night and Live Auction in conjunction with Hendersonville Hometown Jam,” said Linda O’Connell, President of Christmas 4 Kids. “We’ve got great songwriters and great auction items. Come join us for a magical evening as we raise money to give 500 kids a Christmas they’ll never forget.”

Alongside the performances, guests will have the chance to bid on one-of-a-kind items and exclusive experiences — a highlight for those looking to take home a piece of the night while supporting a meaningful cause.

Continuing a Beloved Holiday Tradition

The songwriter event adds a new layer to Christmas 4 Kids’ long-standing legacy. For more than 40 years, the nonprofit — founded by country music legend Conway Twitty — has ensured that children across the region experience the magic of the holidays.

Each year, hundreds of children enjoy:

  • A chauffeured ride from school on an entertainer’s luxury tour bus
  • A festive dinner and celebration with Santa
  • A stop at the Hendersonville Walmart
  • A brand-new winter coat and $200 to shop for Christmas gifts

This year’s Christmas 4 Kids Tour Bus Show will take place Monday, December 15 at 5:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Artists participating in the iconic bus tour tradition will be announced soon.

Join the Celebration

In a community where music is part of the heartbeat, Songwriter Night 4 the Kids blends artistry and altruism in a way only Nashville can — creating an evening where every note rings with purpose.

Tickets are on sale now at christmas4kids.org.

Whether you’re a fan of great songwriting, passionate about giving back, or simply ready to kick off the holiday season in a special way, this event promises warmth, music, and the joy of helping children experience the magic of Christmas.
