T. Graham Brown Joins The Kody Norris Show in New “Silver Eagle” Video

The Kody Norris Show is celebrating a milestone-filled fall with two major highlights. First, the group released a new music video. Next, they are preparing for one of bluegrass’s most historic gatherings. On September 29, 2025, the band premiered “Silver Eagle” on the American Country Network, airing throughout the day.

A Playful New Video Release

The “Silver Eagle” video captures the joys and quirks of life on the road. It stars frontman Kody Norris and his wife, fiddler Mary Rachel. In a humorous twist, she begins to imagine greener pastures, adding a playful storyline. The video also features a surprise cameo from Grand Ole Opry legend T. Graham Brown. In addition, fans can catch more airings at acncountry.com, and the group will appear in Cowboys & Indians magazine later this week.

Celebrating 100 Years of Appalachian Music

Meanwhile, the band is preparing for the 100th Mountain City Fiddlers’ Convention, scheduled for October 3–4 in Mountain City, Tennessee. First held in 1925, the convention has long been a cornerstone of Appalachian heritage. Each year it draws musicians, pickers, and bluegrass fans from across the region.

This year, the celebration begins with the unveiling of an official Kody Norris mural on Friday, October 3, at 5 p.m. The mural, created by artist Tim White, is located at Food Country USA. It was made possible through the Johnson County Historical Society and the Friends of Kody Norris, a nonprofit dedicated to music and arts.

A Farewell to a Beloved Bandmate

The weekend will also mark a bittersweet moment. Banjo player Josiah Tyree, who has performed with the band for nearly nine years, will take the stage for the last time. He explained that with a growing family, he needs to step back from touring. Even so, Tyree said he will always cherish the music and memories he created with the group.

Star-Studded Convention Lineup

The 100th convention promises a packed program. It includes performances from The Kody Norris Show, Wyatt Ellis Band, The Tennessee Bluegrass Band, Pete Denahy, and Larry Sparks. Traditional competitions will continue as well, showcasing mountain music talent for a new generation. A Bright Future for Bluegrass

With a new video, a centennial celebration, and a heartfelt farewell to a longtime member, the band proves once again why it remains one of the brightest acts in modern bluegrass.
