The Charlie Daniels Band’s Legendary Live Performances Now Available Digitally

Fans of The Charlie Daniels Band (CDB) have reason to celebrate: three classic albums are now available digitally for the very first time. Blue Hat Records has released Country Stars N’ Stripes, Scioto County Fair LIVE 2005, and Live From Gilley’s, making the legendary band’s music more accessible to listeners around the world.
“Blue Hat is thrilled to re-introduce these classic titles to the digital marketplace for the first time,” said Blue Hat partner Bob Frank. He added that deluxe remastered physical versions will be available in 2026.
Country Stars N’ Stripes was first released in 2005 as a Cracker Barrel exclusive. A patriotic collection of 12 tracks, it features Charlie Daniels’ iconic tributes to America, including “In America,” “This Ain’t No Rag, It’s A Flag,” and the Grammy-winning anthem “The Devil Went Down To Georgia.” The record also highlights heartfelt numbers like “My Beautiful America” and “God Bless The Mother,” showcasing Daniels’ versatility as both a fiery Southern rocker and a reflective patriot.
Scioto County Fair LIVE 2005 captures the energy of a full-scale CDB performance in Lucasville, Ohio. Recorded in August 2005, the 16-track live set spans fan favorites from across the band’s career, including “Drinkin’ My Baby Goodbye,” “The Legend of Wooley Swamp,” “Simple Man,” and a barnstorming rendition of “Orange Blossom Special.” The set closes with Daniels’ signature hit, “The Devil Went Down To Georgia,” a song that has cemented itself in American music history.
For longtime fans of honky tonk lore, Live From Gilley’s offers a trip back to the world’s largest honky tonk during Daniels’ early years. The 11-track album showcases the CDB at their rowdy best, powering through classics such as “Uneasy Rider,” “Long Haired Country Boy,” and “Dixie On My Mind.” Recorded at the legendary Texas venue, the album captures the raw firepower of Daniels’ stage presence at a time when the band was defining Southern rock for a generation.
These releases build on the enduring legacy of Charlie Daniels, whose career spanned gospel, country, and Southern rock. From his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame to his tireless advocacy for veterans through The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project, Daniels was more than a performer—he was an American icon. His music, infused with both grit and grace, continues to resonate five years after his passing in 2020.
