Kentucky Family Foundation Recognizes 2025 Family Champions and Advocates in New Legislative Scorecard

The Family Foundation of Kentucky (TFFKY) has announced the release of its highly anticipated 2025 Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard, a vital tool designed to evaluate and celebrate the work of Kentucky’s legislators on issues of family, life, religious freedom, and human dignity. Based on key votes and legislative actions from the recently concluded 2025 General Assembly, the scorecard provides insight into how lawmakers performed on the organization’s core values.
With a particular focus on areas such as pro-life legislation, parental rights, and the protection of children and taxpayers, the scorecard highlights the efforts of Kentucky’s lawmakers to protect and strengthen family values in the Commonwealth. Notable bills included in the 2025 scorecard include HB 495, which reversed Gov. Andy Beshear’s “conversion therapy ban,” HB 90 to clarify Kentucky’s pro-life laws, and HB 4, which aims to ban DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs at public universities. Additionally, votes on issues relating to medical conscience rights, religious freedom, and the restoration of the Ten Commandments monument to the Capitol grounds were part of the evaluation process.
David Walls, executive director of The Family Foundation of Kentucky, expressed his gratitude for legislators who championed these issues. “The 2025 General Assembly achieved several commendable victories for Kentucky families with consequential votes on issues impacting religious freedom, parental rights, protecting children, and safeguarding taxpayers from promoting harmful ideologies. We are grateful to all those who worked to help pass God-honoring laws that strengthen Kentucky families and uphold biblical values,” Walls said.
TFFKY’s 2025 Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard honors legislators with scores of 95% and above as Kentucky Family Champions, while those scoring 90% and above are recognized as Kentucky Family Advocates.
