Ray Stevens Returns to CabaRay: New Songs, Classic Laughs, and a Comeback Fans Didn’t See Coming

Ray Stevens isn’t quite ready to hang up his mic.

After announcing his retirement from live performances at his beloved CabaRay Showroom last year, the Country Music Hall of Famer is back—with a twist. Stevens has changed his mind and will return for a limited run of shows, kicking off this weekend in Nashville.

Fans can expect a fresh experience. The new performances will spotlight songs from his latest album, Say Whut?, and include the kind of humor and heart that only Ray Stevens can deliver.

“It will be an all-new show with new songs and new stories,” Stevens teased. “But don’t worry, I’ll still be bringing along Ethel, Margaret, Gitarzan, the squirrel, and other favorites.”

Each show at the CabaRay will feature Stevens backed by his full band, with dinner options available for guests who want the full supper club experience. It’s a return to the classic dinner-and-a-show format that made CabaRay a staple in the Nashville entertainment scene.

At 85, Stevens continues to entertain with the same wit and charm that propelled him to stardom decades ago. With more than 40 million albums sold, hits like “The Streak” and “Everything Is Beautiful,” and a career spanning over 60 years, he remains one of music’s most enduring figures.

For fans old and new, this isn’t just a concert—it’s a chance to revisit the music and memories that have defined generations.
